JUNIOR GOLF INSTRUCTION: A New Horizon |
JUNIOR GOLF INSTRUCTION SEES A NEW HORIZON: These are exciting times for junior golf development, thanks to the almostGOLF ball. Now you can teach juniors golf almost anywhere. They can learn golf in a gym, on a playing field, around the schoolyard, at a park, in the backyard or around the neighborhood. Best of all there is no compromise in performance and/or ball striking feedback because the ball goes exactly where the club tells it to go. This new level of convenience allows juniors to actually get hooked on the game as opposed to simply being exposed to the game of golf.
ALMOSTGOLF BALLS HAVE BROKEN ALL THE TRADITIONAL BARRIERS TO ENTRY IN GOLF: For years, few people inside the golf industry wanted to admit that there were some very large barriers to entry facing the new and junior golfers. With the almostGolf ball all those barriers are gone. By breaking the golf ball safety barrier and allowing kids to practice, learn and even play around their yard, park or schoolyard, we make it possible for kids to do more than just get acquanted with the game. By making golf convenient, safe and exciting to play, kids and adults can practice as much as they want. That's revolutionary. This daily and/or weekly practice can suppliment any golfers course play and practice and allow them to improve faster.
THE NEW HISTORY OF GOLF: Today there are around 15,000 golf courses in the US. But with over 300,000 schools with playing fields, tens of thousands of parks, and millions of neighborhood areas, kids can now walk out their back door and start playing or practicing golf immediately. This is the beginning of a quantum leap for growing the game of golf. And it all revolves around bringing the game to the student, not the other way around. Best of all, the more they swing, the faster they improve and the faster a junior improves, the more chance they have of getting hooked on the game of golf. After all, the better you are, the more fun golf becomes.
IN SCHOOL GOLF PROGRAMS: Bringing golf to schools is proving to be the most effective way to teach kids and get them up to speed with golf. It's amazing how fast an elementary school child can pick up the game of golf. We've seen programs where the second year students (in second grade) are able to hit fades and draws the ball. It is also becoming very clear that bringing one or two instructors to teach twenty to thirty children on campus is far more cost effective than having to get that same number of kids to a golf course on a regular basis. Key to this golf barrier to entry are the parents time pressures. It's amazing the reaction parents have when they are told about an after school golf program where they don't need to pick up their child until dinner time. No shuttling or scheduling. Just teach a child golf in the world they live in with a ball that fits them. That has been unheard of until now.
