It's a beautiful day and your round is being ruined because of the 15 minute waits at the tee. Don't you just want to run down the fairway and tackle slow playing golfers who are taking their soon to be round of 98 and treating it like the Masters?
Well, here at the almostGOLF Testing Laboratories we have a few suggestions for both the slow playing golfer and the poor tortured guy/gal who has to follow him through a 7 hour round.
FOR NORMAL GOLFERS WHO JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN: I suggest you supplement those busy weekend rounds with fast, off-course, one club neighborhood or schoolyard games where you and a buddy or your kids can get through 18 holes in an hour. All you need is a pocket full of almostGOLF balls, a pocket shag and your favorite club and you are playing golf on your terms and in your world for free. Your on-course golf game will definitely benefit as will your psyche because now you can play as fast as you would like since it's your course and you aren't lugging around a bag of clubs. No pressure, no need to even score. Just hit shots and have a blast at your own pace.
FOR THE SLOW PLAYING GOLFER: Kindly remove yourself from the golf course until you can pick up the pace. A great way to do this is to spend some time hitting around your neighborhood. Now you can play as slow as you would like and not have to worry about holding up the players behind you or playing poorly because you're rushing. Hopefully you will play a lot more holes, learn to swing the club and start seeing that practicing and playing more often will improve your game when you get out on the course.
