WHO IS ALMOSTGOLF?

HISTORY: The almostGolf concept came about in 2001 when Rob Peterson held a golf tournament played through the campus of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. It was played with a blown plastic practice ball that was injected with foam insulation and dipped in tool handle rubber. The ball barely worked, but everyone had a blast. From the success of this event it was realized that a ‘legitimate' off-course ball was needed. After two years of relentless R&D, the ball was finally ready. In early 2003 the company launched, manufacturing and marketing the first true performance ‘play anywhere' ball in golf. Today, the Culver City, CA based company continues to strive towards the goal established from the start...

OUR MISSION: almostGOLF is dedicated to making the game of golf more accessible, safe, and fun for everyone who wants to play.

Our view is pretty straight forward; Golf is a great game. It's a life long activity that's social, fun, and competitive, if you want it to be. By eliminating all the traditional barriers of entry time, money and travel we give access to a wider range of people, most who normally would never have had a chance to try the game. Introducing golf and giving lessons can now be done on school campuses and corporate parks. Quality practice to improve your game is as convenient as walking to your backyard, schoolyard or park. AlmostGOLF is revolutionizing practice and expands playing venues off of the golf course and onto more readily available areas.

We are very excited about the future and all the possibilities that almostGOLF brings to the table. Please, feel free to sign up for the almostGolf Network and tell us about your teaching programs, off-course events or just how you use the ball. We want to help grow the game and bring the fun of golf to every corner of the planet and your feedback will help.

Thank you for your support
