THANK YOU WOLFPACK! As we set up our driving range and four hole course on the school playing fields, it was great having an ocean of students walk by on their way to flag football, lacross, soccer and disc golf. Few golfers can tell you a time when golf was able to be played along side other sports on campus without fear or injury. The best part is that as those other sports finished up, players came over to check out what was going on.
What we learned is not only are there a ton of good golfers on the NC State campus, there are good golfers everywhere who want to play intramural golf but it's just not been possible before. During this event we played our course several times with the head of the golf club as well as the director of the golf classes on campus. Bottom line is that they kept going around and around the course because it was a blast. And it was only four holes. Imagine when it's a full 18. NC State is definately going to be a stop on the 2009 almostGolfers Tour.
