OPENING DAY

ALMOSTGOLF OPEN 2008

 

A DAY IN THE SUN: Arizona State University was the first stop on the tour this fall and we were excited to get things rolling.  Although it's the start of the fall semester, Tempe AZ in late August is still hot, topping off at about 110 degrees the day of the event.  Problem Solved...host the event at night under the lights on the Intramural fields.

THE EVENT:  We were part of the University's Devil Day Festival which is the kick-off involvement fair to showcase all the recreation and clubs available.  Our participation was to help grow the number of participants in the Rec Golf program by exposing them to the game by making it available directly on campus

WHAT WE DID: We set up the driving range/skills challenge area out on the IM field and had the 3-hole short course designed around it. The event was a big success with over 120 students signing up for the Rec Golf Program.
